Zhi-min LIU (Associate Professor) :
Native place is Hebei province; graduated in China Agricultural University in 1982; as director of research department in Institute of Pomology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1993; joined college of plant science and technology, Beijing University of Agriculture in 1996, now associated professor.
Research Interests:Fruit cultivation and physiological ecology.
To solve the key science and technology problems in production practice, including cultivation techniques of early fruit for high quality and yield, include apple, pear, peach, cherry, and so on; Fruit tree replant; Peach fruit softening and cleaved suture; A tree without fruit at right age; Stone fruit tree gummosis; leaf chlorisis of fruit tree; to study pathogenic factors and prevention of fruit rot.
At present, studying a project supported by Beijing Natural Science Fund.
Teaching course: General Horticulture、A theory of Horticulture、Plant science and technology skills training、Breeding of horticultural plants、An introduction to Horticulture、Excellent gardeners training、Fruit tree nutrition and health care、New technology and new varieties of horticultural。
Representative achievements:
Published more than 40 research papers, among them, SCI and ISTP included 6 and SCSD included more than 30 papers;
Edited in chief 3 monographs, such as“Non-pollution production key techniques of grape”; compiling 4 monographs as participant.
