Bo ZHAO (Associate Professor)

Graduated from Department of Agronomy, Beijing University of Agriculture. Associate professor of Agronomy in College of Plant Science and Technology.

Research Interests:

Breeding of edible beans and promotion of sweet potato technology. Hosted and participated in 12 research projects of the edible legumes genetic breeding. Won the Award of Beijing Science and Technology. Presided one project of the sweet potato varieties screening and promotion. From 2007 to date now participated in the promotion of the sweet potato, held sweet potato cultivation training class 47 times, training farmers 1400 person-times, promoted 12 varieties of sweet potato, help to construct the demonstration field 1810 mus, help to build two sweet potato deep processing plants.

Teaching “Farming Science”, “Agricultural Extension”, “Crop Cultivation” courses. Implemented 5 laboratory construction projects, participated in 4 projects of experimental and practical teaching reform. Won the education teaching achievement award of Beijing city.

Representative achievements:

Published more than 20 scientific papers, bred 5 new varieties of adzuki beans, editor in chief of one scientific book, deputy editor of 5 books, associate editor of one teaching books.
